About The Blog

"She knew this transition was not about becoming someone better, but about finally allowing herself to become who she'd always been." -unknown

Follow me as I travel the world and attempt to write (and self publish) my very first book (Woot! Woot!)

I'll be posting here once a week, mostly about my mistakes, victories, and everything else I learn through the writing process.

Check out my IG page for sneak peeks into the story, as well as random snippets from my life as a flight attendant: @littlecupofjess.

About Me

I totally suck at describing myself, but here's what I got:

I’m an organized twenty-something mess. I loveeeeeee Gilmore Girls and Audrey Hepburn movies. I get unnaturally excited about anything Doctor Who or Supernatural related. (If you're a fan, feel free to drop me a line. I can literally talk about both for hours ☺) I'm a Gryffindor, but people keep telling me I'm Hufflepuff, so I really need to consult with the hat soon. My friends in real life are secretly jealous of the friends inside my bookshelf. I dip my hands in a few programming languages. And if left unsupervised, I could shamelessly eat an entire pizza by myself.

I've changed my mind like a billion times about what I want to do with my life. (Wow, I did not mean for that to rhyme. Omg make it stop!)

Writing has always been at the top of my career list, but until I reach JK Rowling status I'll be moonlighting as a flight attendant.

Best Place I've Traveled To:
The California coast. On the way to Pfeiffer Beach you cross a small bridge that looks like something from Lord of the Rings. Just beyond the bridge is a hill that overlooks the entire coastline. If you climb to the top, you'll find a small wooden bench where you can watch the ocean stretch out into the horizon. I literally sat there for hours. When I close my eyes I can still hear the steady brush of the waves as they crash against the rocks below the hill. This is my favorite place in the entire world, so far.

My Biggest Problem:
I love food wayyyy more than my stomach can handle!

What My Closest Friends Know About Me:
I'm a post-hardcore fan (Alesana or Blessthefall anyone?! And don't get me started on System of a Down) I'm the one raging in the driver's seat, singing at the top of my lungs, while turning the steering wheel into a drum set. Just saying.

Last 3 Songs Played On My iPod:
Last Chance by Kaskade
Solid Ground by Break of Reality
Slow Water by Deftones

About You (Yea you, reading this page!)

Drop me a line in the comments below. It could be as simple as the last song you listened to, how much you love the Dean and Crowley bromance too, or you could leave your entire life story. I'd be thrilled to read it either way! So don't be shy and leave a comment  ❤

Until next time,
=)

  1. Hey Jess,
It was nice meeting you the other day at the Writer’s Coffeehouse. The blog looks awesome! We finished off our conversation on your world building in Reaper and I’m interested in hearing more about your work in progress and throwing around ideas if you’re game. Also there’s the Philadelphia Writers’ Group meetup on Sat Sep. 12 that I think you might be interested in. If you’d like to know more about it, let me know.
